What is it?
Suffolk Remembers is the opportunity to celebrate the lives of loved ones no longer with us. The event is open to everyone, regardless if you have used hospice services or not.
Light up their life by dedicating a candle that will be lit along with 5000 others on Suffolk Day 21 June 2021.
Once lit they will spell out SUFFOLK REMEMBERS. Each candle will bear the name of someone special and will be showcased at our event and virtual video.
Candles can also be dedicated to pets, who were once our companions and part of our families.
You can dedicate as many candles as you like, suggested minimum donation £5 per candle. Dedicate online to light a virtual candle where you add a special message and photograph.
Thank you to everyone who came down to Felixstowe for Suffolk Remembers on 21 June 2021.
The candles will be down at Spa Gardens in Felixstowe, next to the Spa Pavilion, until Friday 25 June for the public to view and reflect. Please adhere to government guidelines if you are visiting.

East of England Co-Op Funeral Services
Julian Snowling, Head of Funeral Operations for the East of England Co-op Funeral Services, said: “With many family and friends unable to say their goodbyes in the way they would have wished these past 12 months, this year’s Suffolk Remembers has never been more poignant.
At the East of England Co-op Funeral Services, we’ve supported local families across Suffolk, as well as in Norfolk and Essex since 1925. Many of these families have benefited from the fantastic services provided by St Elizabeth Hospice and so we’re incredibly proud to once again be supporting this special event.
Over the past year, our expert Funeral team have worked hard to adapt to the ever-changing guidelines whilst also maintaining the high level of care and service expected of us.
With restrictions on the number of people able to attend Services or gather in memory, many local families turned to online streaming and digital services. With the very real possibility of delayed grief due to the unprecedented circumstances we found ourselves in, Suffolk Remembers provides an important opportunity for the community to come together in memory and celebration of those no longer with us.
In recent years, it has been a privilege to help light many of the candles in memory of members of our community, and we look forward to being a part of this year’s event.”
